I had the pleasure yesterday of attending the 4th Be Collaborative event at Omni Berkshire Place. It’s the 4th year of the event, which educates, entertains and informs the meetings community. The meeting space was stunning, – thank you AFR! – the food fantastic, and what I was able to take in of the program was quite good. The AV went without a hitch, no doubt thanks to Encore.
Privately held by KSL Capital Partners, Omni’s done a great in the past few years of really elevating the brand, and their mantra with many of their properties is to make the location a part of the brand and, in many cases, to hold onto the original property name. Why bother renaming Boston’s Parker House or San Antonio’s La Mansión del Rio when they have such excellent brand equity?
Aside from all that, the event also had some of the best branded tchotchkes I have seen in some time including a slappy bracelet with an embedded flash drive, a cool little device that extends the length of your smart phone charger cord for those hard-to-reach outlets and a really nice version of the “trending” smart phone charger.
Thank you for a day of fun and learning!
